Good Morning, all! Quiet day on the Michigan thread. I'm going to pretend that it has nothing to do with the fact that my loud mouth spent the morning out of the office and not in front of the computer.

It's cold out there, but the sun is nice and despite the temps it is managing to melt the snow and ice on the south side of our house/back deck. I went into TSC today to get water softner salt and they have all their winter clothing, carhartts, hats and gloves, etc on clearance. Maybe spring'll show up around here sooner or later after all. I was getting skeptical.

Another "arctic air mass" coming in this week. It's not supposed to get above the teens until next weekend and if their forecasting in the recent history is any indication that means it won't actually get above 0. The weatherman seems to have come down with a severe case of being-overly-optimistic.

I'm not even asking for anything crazy. Just give me high 30s, low 40s and I'll zip my lips and be a happy camper. This snow needs to melt so I can put low hoops on the raised beds, get the soil warmed and start planting. I'm ready for spring!
