I'm a "Congressional Yooper" as we're in the same US congress district. I go up to Rapid River for the Grand Island endurance ride every year Memorial Day weekend. Last summer, it was 90 degrees, in 2008 it was 40. In 2001, it snowed. Brrrr.

Hey everyone! I'm taking a few minutes to let you all know everything with my surgery went fine. I had a HUGE surprise with it though. I've had severe Psoriasis for years due to all the medications I've been on since the day I was born. Because most of my 46 surgeries were on my abdomen (including two pregnancies/c-sections), I had a large flap of skin that left a very red, irritated patch of Psoriasis under it that no doc had been able to get rid of. Well, it's gone now. One of the two docs that did my hysterectomy is a specialist in scaring and he did a TUMMY TUCK too!!!!
Needless to say I was the happiest person around when my gyn told me!! I feel so much skinner now and I won't have to use all that messy topical stuff on it anymore!!!
Oh, and the biopsies came back fine, no cancers or anything. It's been a great 4 days!!!

Hope everyone is doing well!!

It looks like this week is going to be C - O - L - D but then it's supposed to warm up a bit after that. To around and even above freezing -- perhaps even with a little sun. If only we can make it through the next three days first...

I went to a bee keeping seminar on Saturday. It was informative, but just not enough time to cover alot. I'm thinking about taking an all day class in Feb.

We had a new TSC open and sat they're having their open house this coming Saturday (12th) - 10% off anything (or so the girl at the counter said)!!! It's located on the west end of Ann Arbor on Jackson Rd. Between the Zeeb and Baker exits (closer to Baker)! I'm going to go buy a bunch of rabbit cages!

Wish they'd offer that up here. The gas to get there would more than suck up my 10% discount, but I need hog panels and would love to save a little on 'em.

I went to Indiana on friday night and sent off one of my SS Roo's...sad to see him leave but I can't keep 2 Roo's.

Also took 10 chicks with me for someone who was buying them from Ohio...we stopped at a Bob Evans on the way down and since it was soooo cold out I had to bring them into the restuarant with me...heehee...I just carried the cardboard box in and didn't say anything and they didn't say anything to me.

I wanted to put one on my plate and tell the waitress my eggs weren't cooked long enough!

I still have 10 chicks available...I wing sexed them as pullets...might be 2 roo's in there though.
I put my second batch of eggs into the bator (sired by a different roo) I candled them last night and was disappointed that 15 of the 32 eggs were either not fertile or just not developing. So I have about 17-18 eggs in the bator now....oh well, better then nothing I suppose!
