OHMYGOSH! I love this little thing!!!!!!! I have what was called a silkie naked neck (roo) that we brought home from Fowlfest. I ABSOLUTELY ADORE THIS GUY! We just ordered eggs from a farm in MI, hoping to get some more naked necks. But boy would I love one of those babies!

We have more hatching out and if there's a naked neck I'll let you know...are you coming to Chickenstock?

Oh my! I can't make Chickenstock

My neice is having her graduation party and we are bringing our tractor, trailer, tables, etc. And it's on the other side of the state pretty much.

Darn it!!!! Well if one hatches out, let me know

The cute little guys will be at Chickenstock unless I can find someone(s) to take them. All three are Marans, two BCMs and what might be a Golden Salmon?

Free to a good home (that never reaches 350 degrees F, doesn't include boiling water, etc.

Oh my...we've been trying to get some marans for a while now. Seems like wherever we find them it's too far for us to travel

I'd love a naked neck too!!!

however it's looking like we won't be able to go to chickenstock...unless a miracle happens in the next week...like selling stuff. I just wish someone would buy my wheelchair then I'd really be set lol

Oh well...time to go rock the ducks world...their coop and run is being rearranged

*holding hands out* mine mine mine...lol.

Well, I'm putting a dozen "naked neck" eggs in the bator on Sunday. My first time incubating ever so I'm paranoid, but... if I have a good hatch rate I'll let you guys know! These babies won't be anywhere near as cute as RIRs but they should still be neat looking

ITS DONE!!!

The duck coop has been expanded and moved so now the ducks have more room to stretch out in the coop and the chickens have more room to run around. I can also now see them all from the windows instead of having a coop in the way. Aric did it all, he wouldn't let me help (maybe a good thing lol) but it looks awesome!!!

I now have 5 things listed on craigslist...a cardio exerciser, lawn sweeper, house door (darn, I was hoping to use it but the other house's frames are strange sizes), very nice electric wheelchair (so glad I don't have to use that anymore!!) and a clarinet.

hopefully I can sell some stuff then I can go to chickenstock!!

I also have Maran roo's 9wks old that need a home. I hate posting on craig's list, we had cock fights in our area and I would hate to have any of them go to that. stock pot would be preferable.

I just put some of my birds on craigslist....I hate doing that!
People can sound so nice....but then they get to your house and you are all "Oh my god, what have I done!?"
I know this is mean....but it's happened a couple times.
I try to make sure my birds will be pets.
I don't get rid of them because I don't like looking at them or anything....they just don't get along with the birds who have been around longer who are much nicer. Some birds, it just doesn't matter what you do...they dun like ya.
I hope someone good calls!
I often wonder what became of my Ameracauna roosters...I had two they were beautiful, but they were so mean to my D'uccle and my D'uccle has a winning personality. He's a great pet...and I couldn't make him leave...he's so nice to the girls.
I worry about everyone who has left.... keeps me up sometimes. xD
Pretty lame, I am.

I know how you feel Miyashi! Especially when I sell chicks it bothers me wondering how they're doing! I've never felt uncomfortable with anyone that has come by for chickens I've sold, but you still never know.

So, I'm a bit sad right now. Last summer I purchased a serama pair from vicki (vicki 2x2) and the roo, Pretty Boy quickly became my favorite and still is. His hen was very sweet, never making noise or causing trouble. Today Aric and I were watching the chicks that I put in their new brooder in the barn and I noticed the hen sitting on the edge of one of the laying boxes. She sat there a lot so I didn't think about it. Next thing we knew, right as we stood there she was laying on the floor flapping her wings. Aric and I went to look at her and within seconds she was dead. Just like that!

Poor Pretty Boy is going to be lost without his lady! He loves the silkies but the two were almost never apart! We'd love more seramas, I wish I could get more from Vicki but I know she sold her stock. If anyone hears of any please let me know!

Now with the coop expansion done and it's been moved, we have room for several more chickens

I'm still busting arse to get some things sold so we can go. Here's a few of them:

I also have 2 Isa Brown and 1 gorgeous RIR x Aracauna hens. There's nothing wrong with them except the RIR hen has a few feathers missing on her back from the boys. Asking $10 ea. They're not posted because I haven't taken pics yet and I thought I'd offer them here first.
