Apparently she's his favorite too. At the beep of the camera or if i so much as give a good look he would rush in and stand in between us! Geesh.

Nova, i was wondering if the extra toe placement was correct for favorolles? The big guy i rescued has the extra toes, but they are small and touch the ground at the back. Where the chicks toes are, he has double spurs coming in.? they are just nubs and are growing super slow. I will try to get pics tomorrow..... Mabie mine is mixed with something? It's all good, i am just really curious. He is so big and clutsy, like a clydesdale. I hope his saddle gets super long like Mr Fluffers.... yes i'm still drooling over him! ha ha i know he's your boy.

this is my other fuzzybutt pic; is this one better then the one i put in the avatar? trying to convey the fuzziness of her :)

NovaAman- Very cute chicks! I like the ones with the chipmunk cheeks. I cant help with the toes. I tried taping toes before and it didnt work out for me. Hopefully you will be able to give her normal toes with some advice on the "shoe" she needs to wear.

I want to try to post a picture. I still havent found my albums yet. But, if I can upload directly from the computer, I will try it.
I have no idea how to ever find my albums again, though.

Taken from my chair about ten minutes ago.

My chick has Ostrich feet. Seriously, I think they are standard chicken sized feet on a banty sized body.

Mom2, that poor baby, what can I say????? I am sure she is loveable!

Does anyone know if shape of the egg has anything to do with hatchablity? I have been collecting today to put in the incubator and my one Polish is still laying the torpedo shape egg. Will it hatch ok? Nothing like trying to collect warm eggs on a cold day like today!

There's an old wives tale that says the pointy eggs are cockerels and the round eggs are pullets. :)

Other than that I would just not suggest using very oddly shaped eggs as hatchers. Anything within the realm of "normal" which can vary quite a bit from pointy to round is fine, but you want the chick to have plenty of space to develop.

RAZZZZZZZ!!!!!!!!!!!! It's a SNOW STORM!!!!

I only say "Raz' because he lives so close, we have to have the same weather. I just took my sixteen year old out driving in it. Around our neighborhood. To get her an experience of driving in the snow, the twilight, the slipping, etc. I told her "mock" situations like...go, go go, car coming..you are pulling out into traffic!!! AND STOPPPPPPPPPPPPP!!! The car in front of you is stuck in the snow!!!
Just so she could experience slipping and sliding etc all from the safety of our abandoned streets.

Guess what?

She doesnt like driving in the snow now.

All part of my master Mommy plan.

Well, after that I had to go out and take a look-see.

No blizzard here. Just a light flurry falling. I have, at most,a half inch in the driveway. At least there is enough snow to cover the mud in the backyard.

Let me teach your daughter to drive. I'll have her doing donuts in no time. Power slides and 4 wheel drifts will be the next lesson.
