When I hatched out some pheasant chicks I couldn't find and starter for them, so I threw some of the pellets that I fed the adults with into the blender for a second, and made me some starter.

This is makeing me mad, I tried to post a reply with a quote, and the quote didn't come with the reply window, then I tried to edit the post and it would let me edit, but when I hit submit it went right back to the original post. Anyone got a hammer

I am amazed at the electric bills you guys have! I have consumers and my electric is only above $100 when it is really hot in the summer and I have the air running all the time. I have gas heat, dryer, and stove and my gas bill for January is $120, my electric is about $70. There are times in the spring and fall when I don't have air or heat going where my utility bills are around $100 total. I could not afford to live if my utilities were $600 a month! Wow, wow, wow!

Opa, I had to go back and take another look at the bus. Glad I did. Very funny!

WE had that verry thing, (sorta) Was a car full of young men, boys? providing the full moons in The state park near Bridgman Mi For the enjoyment of a School Bus of Paw Paw Biology students I took there to study succession of/in the dunes. I recall now Warren Dunes St Park. Great place and a wonderfull field trip. Kids learned a lot, I think. Do we ever really know?
Gosh that was a long time ago. Back in the days when schools could afford to pay for things like fuel and pay for a driver for a day. And for silly things like kids learning about and hope`fully appreciating the environment . Such a waste.

When you click on the Chickenstock link in my signature line you will have links for all the Chickenstock info including the Buy/Sell link that Theron is maintaining. This is a great place to find out what birds people will be bringing or to let folk know what you are looking for.

Thanks for the info... but I'm afraid I'm not much of a traveler. An hour away is about as far as I stray. Sounds like a big get together though.

It's a good day to hole up and do nothing as the roads here are icing up. I got you guys and chocolate, and my ducks. What else could I need????
Anybody mind if I sign up for chickenstock just to get info about what animals will be there, even if I do not go?

I'm not sure what the Chipmonkers were. Maybe Welsummers, yep that's what I think ! One was killed by one of our dogs, the other (ordered 2pulletts of 6 varieties) turned out to be a Roo.
Couldn't Keep him. Beautiful guy though.

Sorry response so late. I can't keep mup with all the posts.

How do you remove poop from poop boards when it is FROZEN solid onto the boards. ? I would need a chisel and hammer! I have to wait until days of 32 or higher come and then scrape. This is the first year I've used "poop boards".....just wondering. I dropped off my RV coop and flock to my friend/chicken sitter and hated her seeing frozen poop covering the boards. We don't head for Florida until Wed. so I'm going tomorrow or Monday to her house to scrape off the poop boards while it is warm and show her my poop scrapping technique!

You mean there is a proper technique? I didn't realize there was special training. Is there an apprentice programme as well? A competition circuit pehaps? What are the rules for this sport?
