Well, the calve's water tub were empty last night, and I did not want to full it up, and the calves are big enough to drink the water from the creek in the ravine, in the woods. So, this morning with my sister's help, I had to drag a 4 months old steer to the woods, boy, it was hard work. He refused to move, and I had to pull the rope, and my 13 year old sister pushed his rear. We made about 100 feet in about 10 mins. In the process, the steer broke my glasses right in half!
It was so hot, and sweat was getting in my eyes. My older sister saw our plight, and came to our rescue. She found a slender stick, and I told her to wrack the steer's rear as hard as a 16 year could do. THAT made him move. She had to keep wracking him all the way to the woods, while I kept pulling him in the way that he had to go. As soon we hit the creek, he drank the water, and we had to make the other steer to the creek to drink too.The other nicer steer followed us quarter of a mile to the woods. Yay!
About my glasses, I will have to find J.B. Weld to fix it.
