Nope, a HUGE St. Bernard. Biggest one I have ever seen !!!!
Oh that's right, I remember you guys talking about that the other day. I saw the biggest Bernese Mountain Dog Ive ever seen in my life a couple weeks ago. It's name was Bear, aptly named!! That guy had the biggest head. He was so cute.

Hi Fife! Welcome home. I hope your apple trees bear a lot of fruit this year. Darn! If I had known you were going to be in Howell today I would have offered to buy a few hutches off of you. We are so close to getting a few rabbits this week but I don't think the rest of the people in my house will like my growing menagerie.

Opa: I hope your trip was safe and uneventful. I know you're probably halfway there all ready.

Raz: They will either find the woods fascinating and cool with the quiet or they will freak out. I know my own driveway was creepy around 1am while I was finishing up some chores.

Juise: Good luck with quitting. A lot of my friends quit and I am so proud of them, especially how busy or stressed a lot of them are. I really hope you feel better soon. After wracking my brain I can't figure out what might be making you sick other than fluid in an ear making your balance a bit off. Thank you too for the recipe for Quinoa burgers you posted, we will be trying them tonight but I doubt they will be as good or pretty as the pictures. I am, at best, an ambitious cook who lucks out more often than not.

I am a bit surprised to see other people who have panic attacks. The one medication I was on for them left me so ill after I couldn't afford more that I nearly rushed to the ER for what we thought was a stroke or heart attack. Just a note to anyone reading: don't do meds like that cold turkey. It was a nightmare I never want to repeat.

Does anyone have any nut trees? I found some that work well in our zone but more practical experience would be best before I drop the money on them.

I am starting on my coop this week since my oldest chicks (around 4 weeks) are starting to flap well enough to get near the top of their brooder box. Hopefully in a week they will be feathered enough that I can put them in a run until the weather cooperates by staying near the 70s.

Wish me luck on real estate. I feel very defeated by our house search and the banks in general.

Taking second graders on the trails today at MBG. The weather report says that it should be warm, with drizzle and dense fog. That should be fun.

So often these kids are from the city and haven't experienced a woods, to see it in the sound dampening drizzle might help us see a few deer and turkey.

I like the damp woods better because you can SMELL the woods, and it seems like the little birds are extra vocal, probably all the aforementioned bugs! :) Only thing that stinks is city kids don't usually dress warm, probably because they don't go out much :(

What was I thinking? In the past five minutes the puppy has: attacked the laundry rack, tried to chew his way through the window, stole food literally out from under the nose of our dog whose mouth is as big as the puppy's whole body, humped DH's tennis shoes, played tug 'o war with my rug (my rug that is 10'x7'), played tug 'o war with the blinds on the sliding glass door, chewed on six chair legs and one mission style table, ran off with a flip flop, ran off with a paper grocery sak, tried to run off with the front door mat, annnnndd bit the Schnauzer's butt. These are only the things he's done in the past five minutes that required correction/redirection. The other 40% of his time is spent attacking/chewing on/playing with his actual toys and running full tilt around the house. It's like having a tiny, ball of black and white energizer bunny.

I don't personally have any nut trees, but I do know that walnut trees can grow around here; not sure what else. A lady I work with has a bunch of them and so did her mother, she always talks about picking up the nuts, cracking & drying them in her attic.

I didn't know you were buying/selling a house (?) but I understand it's gotta be tough right now since the market royally sucks. Good luck!

Hi All...I'm a newbie to Backyard Chickens....
Since you're talking about possible excess of eggs, I'd like to introduce myself!

I am a local Michigan artist who does pysanky eggs (Ukrainian Easter Eggs).
I am in the market for eggs....anything other than regular chicken eggs which I can get very easily from a local poultry lover.

Please check out my website at www.etsy.com/shop/goldeneggpysanky and see how beautiful pysanky can be!

Please PM me if you have extra eggs! Gail

Those are absolutely beautiful!!!

This post came right in time ( as i was perusing the pets on craigslist) lol

Juise : good luck on the no smoke, a battle I find myself fighting time and time again. It seems like everytime me and the hubs try to quit it turns into WW Diesing around our house :p we actually attempted to quit the weekend after the wedding. Talk about dumb move there, actually chased my MIL out of her own house! quitkeeper is a good free program though that adds up costs saved/days not smoked/life added back.

Morning everyone :)

My boy's name is Oscar...last time we weighed him he was at about 175...and he's not fat.

That is one energetic pooch! Little quick mischievious little buggers aren't they? My bichons were exactly the same way.
