Good morning all! I have to work tonight so I slept until 10:30 in an effort to prepare for an all nighter.

I was checking on Waffles and her crew this morning and I'm so excited that she is getting her porcelain tipped feathers! She was just kind of a strange white color but today there are these iridescent tips peeking out.

She's going to be so pretty. Still undecided as to whether the baby d'uccles will be boys or girls. Their combs haven't really changed from the pics I posted of them last week.

I woke up with my eyeball so red and angry looking. Looking at this screen is killing me so I'm going to go try and find something shaded to do. Lol Maybe I'll go work on my banty shanty.

Morning all!

Welcome new people!

Yorkchick- that post was amazing and I love the pictures. Congrats on the babies and all.

Raz- my kids watch Fraggle Rock and I have been known to sneak an episode for myself here and there. I love the Doozers. Don't feel bad for putting up the barrier. I've always been told that good fences make good neighbors so when we move I plan on following that advice by using good, thick privacy panels before we move in.

Juise: glad you had fun!

That coop for sale is really nice and I wish I could make one that decent. Ours is just a 4x4 frame and it needs two more of the frames before we are settled. Today I am painting a lot of the wood so it can air out, need these guys out of the basement so the clean out and remodel can start.

I went out today and bought a game bird waterer, hanging feeder, and larger waterer-- did I just waste my money? I am now wondering I should have rigged some PVC pipe or a covered tote for water.

Have a great day all! I'm off to hunt down something for my ducks to live in.

OK, here is another one of my "goldmine" charts, this one is from the Mississipi Ag Station. It has a few off lable meds and dosing for them . :) I have my notes, but i thought some of you more skeptical types might appreciate info straight from the source. :)

Lots of good information, thanks. I have a call in to the MSU vets and we'll see what they have to say about the roundworms, load and dosage. Thanks

Well after perusing pages and pages here and tons of e-mails I am finally caught up from a 5 day offline vacay. It was glorious, all the rain we had last week had the river way up, so we took the boat out all weekend and puttered around. some kindle fondling yesterday got me caught up on some of my reading. New chicks arrived (favorolle.cochin mix) and boy are they cutie -pies. Temp. coop up while we build the mackdaddy of coops. :p

Congrats on babies, human, chickie and ducks ya'll.

finished my 2nd ferment on my kombucha and boy is it tasty!! I mixed it with a blueberry juice and am so glad home kombucha is so much cheaper than store bought as I am drinking it down..

and with that am gonna take my big galoots up on the ridge so they can enjoy this day. :)

oh yeah ran across this this morning and it made me chuckle :

I roasted one of the chickens on Sunday night. I think I did a good job....for a vegetarian.

Hi Everyone,
I got to sneak out of work for a bit and wanted to see how everyone was doing. Sounds likes everything is just Chicky & ducky! Skimmed the posts for there way too many, I've only been popping on here & there.

Nice looking pics of coops. They'll be real nice when finished!!

I'm still trying to break my Orp that is going/gone broody. Today when I checked on her she was sitting on 7 eggs. I take her out of the coop 2-3 times a day and make her mingle when the others are free ranging.....I shut the pen door!! She currently is dust bathing in their favorite spot. Wonder if she'll get mad when I put her back in the pen when it's time for me to leave??

Fuzzybutt......Another good chart, Thank You!!

vjwilmoth.......your Waffles sounds like she's gonna be beautiful.....if you have pics post them, if you already did....I missed them!

TSC up in my area has the Tin Sculptured Roosters on Sale. ..20% off and I think the sales ad is the same for all stores throughout MI. So who ever wanted one just as bad as I did.....now's the time. I went and got myself one for Mother's Day!!

please excuse the weeds.....This rock garden is next on my list . I plan on working in it this weekend if the weather permits

. And all those dandelions in the background......that is out in an open unused field. Would hate anyone to think it's part of the yard. The kids drive their toys out there.

Well out to round up the chicken and back to work. Hope eveyone has a great afternoon!
