Funny this came up, I was very excited to see MicroDuck (just recently) "behaving" like a little male duck should with one of the females. I don't think he was successful but he was giving it a good college try. He needs a little stepping stool or something.....
MicroDuck is doing very well. He now loves to bathe in the tub and doesn't appear to be so nervous. I don't understand his personality, he was raised in the house, was handled alot because of his disabilites. I guess once he went outside he "wilded" up for lack of a better way to put it. He always has had a rattle in his breathing from the very beginning. I can feel a "click" in his body when he breathes, his feet and legs are too small for his fat little body and his wings are too long and I have to keep them clipped or they hang way down like they are too heavy for him. He's such a funny little guy in that he is very feisty and bossy. I love him dearly.
This is a pic I just took of him in the tub. I tried to show how small he is. I did measure him and he is 8" long from his chest to his tail. He seems very happy and eats like a pig so.....I guess he is doing great! Thanks for asking Tia!
