I'm not very good at taking pictures and work alot so I had to take them last night.

But, I was wondering If I could get some feedback from MF breeders in here. I have one light pullet and one dark. I would like advice on what you think of them and also what you would bred them to to help make their Color Pattern better for the offspring. Thanks to any and all that can help

And, This is the darkest of the flock

The rest of the 20 pullets I have are all in between.

Thank you

I am NOT an expert, only into my 2nd generation of Millies. I do know they change so much.
Are all you pullets the same age? I think it is too soon to tell on the two that you pictured. The darkest maybe too dark.....? In any case choose by best type first.

Here is the color pattern I got from one of offspring. Shes a sweetie pie but no where close to what we want.

Here is rooster 2. he's penned with a mixed group of hen just to keep him happy.

I did hatch few eggs from him crossed with a buff hen, the hen is nothing special. This is one of the offspring from that cross.

I would consider trading rooster 2 for a hen or pullet that would be a nice match for rooster 1.

Rooster 2 is a nice big boy - maybe he is the one you should breed! He has alot of black in him but he is so full type-wise!

I meant to show this one the other day. I have been trying to make Calicos for about a year and just was not getting anywhere on my color. They all kept coming out MF! I finally am getting some color in there after breeding in several birds with lots of white.
I ordered some eggs from Nancy before she sold her flocks and here is one of the better ones.

I will be watching them all grow up as I am hoping to have a small flock of these. So far the type is not showing up in them but I will give them til next spring and see if there are any keepers. I always loved the look of her birds.

Yes, we call the ones with an over abundance of white the Calicos. Just a made up variety so far. There are just so many beautiful light colored offspring that happened to pop up and we fell in love with them.
The Mille Fleur have to have the white tips, black chevrons and gold base to their feathers. There is still a lot of work to be done on them and they are gorgeous but I definitely want a flock of Calicos for my own enjoyment.

I really like his compact build. The later pics from above show he has good width as well. I'd agree with other sentiments, find some lighter hens to match him up with. Its very good to have a roo of his body type!!!

Here he is as a youngster.

He has a wayward tail feather, it'something about him that bothers me. He is a good daddy, and takes care of chicks. He's in a pen with a mottle hen that has brassy hackles, and the part of a hen you see pictured.

X2
He has a nice build from what I can tell. They all seem to go through a phase of a wayward tail feather. See if it shows up after the next molt. Most of mine do not. If all else is great, I don't worry about it. But if there are other major faults I look for another roo to use.

He has no other faults. His type is the same as rooster 2 except the wayward tail feather, and he has some damage to his wattles from fighting through the fence. It's hard to get picture of either these guys they refuse to face the camera to get a good picture of their chest. Rooster 2 does seem to has a bit fuller tail.

my thoughts on the 2 tail feathers is that they are sickle feathers. cockerels have the longest feathers and as they molt each time they come back shorter. i have noticed that it's always just 2 feathers on my birds and if they bother me too much i just pull them out. found this out in breeding serama. the first year they have a gorgeous tail and after that it gets shorter
