Well, you beat me to it. I was going to buy 3-4 chocolate Orps this coming year after the move and the financial uproar settles and start a chocolate Cochin project.

I am planning on crossing him to buff mottled with a hint of black on the hackle... and see what happens. You have to think of him like black and how that would affect MFC. All the male offspring will be black based with some mottling. Some of the females will be chocolate based with some mottling. I will take those chocolate females and put them to an excellent typed and marked MFC roo that I will hopefully have next fall..
