Mille Cochin Info

I really, really, really want some of these. I would gladly take an extra roo. I will find room somewhere, somehow because I can't stand not having this most awesome color and pattern. I can hold out only so long! Just give me a week or two to make the money for him!
When you get him I want some pics:) I love this color toooooo!!!!!!!!

I need to do some serious winterizing of my tractors, too but with this gorgeous 70 degree sunny, blue skies days, I just can't seem to get motivated to put up plastic and canvas.
Oh well, I am off to work on the peafowl pens though. LOL

My mother came today to watch Gracie so I could get some serious work done out there - and I did

You and your sunny skies... Did you hear on the news where 4 semis got blown off the road on I-90 in South Dakota the other day? I'm so sick of wind. BUT today was CALM! It was a pretty darn good day, all in all

Mike, GREAT pictures! I can't believe how much white Tuba has gotten, she is so pretty. I think she might be the chick I'm always going to regret selling.... I have another baby in the nursery who looks very much like she and Oboe did, I'm thinking maybe she'll be a keeper & I can name her Tuba.. or Flute or Piccolo or something

...console me for letting Tuba get away

I love Peanut Butter - and what a terrific name!

Nancy- that little blck and white cockerel you have in you Cochin Bantam album is georgous. Where did you get him or if you hatched him from your own birds do you know the parents?
I started calling him "my little puppy" while he was still in the nursery, because he has the most friendliest personality.. I pick him up and he cuddles his head into my neck..

I love him so much. His mother is Sugar & his father is Brandon, I'm 95% sure..

Peanut Butter, as an April hatch? Is only 6 months old, wow what phenomenal type. Can't wait to him at maturity.

I hope you keep us updated on him. :)

I "think" you would consider him Calico. I am still not clear on what color is expected of a Calico roo. However, I do have one cockeral (Manolete's son) that is very white & he is 6 months old. Usually if they haven't darkened by now, they will stay light. We will see :)

I think tomorrow I will post some "GOOD" pics of the mille fleurs and possibly some other cochins to show you guys there true looks. Some pics I posted last don't really show them off to well.

Lynne,
if you get a chance, I think many of us would love to see what you accomplished this year. I still wish I was able to get #12. I think he would have been super in breeding here. But o well, I guess i have other typey cochins and we will see how things go from there.
