Your babies are gorgeous!! I too am new to this thread, I began following it when I got some gorgeous MFC from WestKnoll Amy. I don't think I have ever owned a sweeter chicken as these. I have been more of a lurker here as I love seeing everyone's photos. I'm going to try this weekend to get some photos of my chicks that I recently hatched from Amy, as well as the gorgeous chickens I got from her. :)

Ok Mike...Just for YOU~!

Calico cockerel-8 months

MFC cockerel-8 months. Since I began working on "type" this year, some of my pattern has been lost. But I plan to work on "both" next year.

Beautiful pullet who has it ALL~!

Lacking in pattern for a MFC but perhaps she will work in a Calico project-9 months

Another girl will excellent pattern & type. However she has shafting.

I know this is a MFC thread but had to add a pic of one of my Buff Barred girls...please forgive

That first calico pullet wants to come live in SD. I heard her say so. She'll need a box-mate, any of your other ones will do just fine!!!

Oh, Sandy! I am so glad you are enjoying the lovelies! Everyone loves the little MFC roo you got from me last month.
You really need to share photos of all of them plus the chicks you hatched from those eggs. I was hoping you would have photos by tomorrow to share with me at the show! I know they are too cute and by next spring your pair will be laying enough that you can hatch lots more.
Yes, your hubby will want to kick me! LOL He is really a great guy to let you get all these birds!

Lynne! They are all just too gorgeous! You have done so well with this group pf keepers!
That first guy is awesome and I see type in all your birds! Fantastic!
I am falling off my chair with hose pullets! I need to get on the ball and breed some awesome kids like yours!
My problem is I think I need to keep them all and breed them all and I produce quantity whereas I should have more quality. But I always worry something will happen so I have a lot of back ups. And I breed my second and 3rd string birds as well as the best ones.

And yes, you post as much as you want with those buff barred beauties!! Heavenly!

Awesome Lynne!!! They are super. You really have an wesome batch of cochins there. I hope I can get birds like that from mine.

I was planning on next spring putting Remington in with Chipper and Tuba for 1 pen, then let Sunshine Roo, Kipper, or Keeper cover Nancy, Gracie, and Tiffany. I think Kipper may have the best type out of them all once matured but time will tell. Then Peanut Butter will cover my blue mottleds with Napoleon. Some nice Blue motts and some nutty colored barred chicks.

Amy, any compliment coming from you is "icing on my cake"~! I know how dedicated you are to this breed & color. I also know how you feel when you just "absolutely" have to downsize & you want to KEEP all of them. Your hard work shows in the pics of your birds. You inspired me last year to work on "type". I can't thank you enough. I have truely seen such a difference in my birds since I started following your path. It is wonderful to have like minds to share ideas. Thanks~!!!!

Mike, I'm so pleased that you like the pics. You are so fortunate to have wonderful mentors on here that will share their knowledge with you. Lots of hard work, from many, went into the making of some of your flock. With your youth, we expect you to pick up the ball & run with it. I think we are all seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Help us see it SOON~!

I've recently started reading through all of the Mille Fleur thread -- starting with the first thread and continueing with this one. You've been there from the very beginning. You and Erin and not too many more. That's dedication, and it shows!
