Mille Cochin Info

I have very little luck when it comes to selling extra roosters. Last year I had to give them away. Seems when you do get a buyer that they want two or more hens to one roo and we know that don't hatch in that ratio. Good Luck Tom

Ok here's all my boys. Boy one:
400

Boy two
400

Boy three
400

Boy four

400

Boy five

400

Boy six

400

Now boy six is the responsible party all boys one threw five!!

I am fund of the father boy six because he's got a lot of white on his chest and I'm really liking boy number two because I see he has the calico spotted chest. Not sure with milles if they should have more red or white or black but each one of them has either a lot of each coloring for example I have one with more red coloring versus one with more black coloring all spotted. But father has more white and one has more tan coloring just like my calico.

Hi LaCrystol,
Here is a type standard: Bantam-sized Cochin cocks average 32 ounces and hens average 28 ounces. Underneath the feathers and fluff, the Cochin chickens have strong, broad bodies with short wings and well-rounded breasts. They have yellow skin, a medium-sized single comb, and profusely feathered legs and feet.
As far as the MF pattern, dude #3 seems the best, and also the best type that I can see.

For MF you do not want white. For Calico, then yes, but still #3 seems the best overall bird. The wing set is very low in most of these birds/shots, which is not good. Wing tips pointing so low to the ground is not desirable.
