Pics
Josh -

I thought I typed a message last night, but I can't see it.

Would you send me a pic of the trio?

I would be very interested!

Thanks!!!

Katie

I'm so happy to show off my newest flock members - they just flew in today from Lynne @ Wingshadows - Thank you, Lynne, and Happy Birthday!! They're my first MF's, so I'm just thrilled! And look, just like all other aliens when they land, the first thing they do is try and take over your communications!

That's Ginger with the lighter hackle, and her sister Nutmeg with the darker hackle. I love the buff/blonde coloring, and look at how those chevrons are developing. And OMG, look at the cushions and the foot feathering!

And please be on the lookout for my lost roo! His name is Paprika, and he may be hiding out in your coop, brooder or incubator!! I don't have any pics, but this is what he looks like: He's a light mahogany brown, good pattern (especially on the chest), black tail with white tips, great foot feathering, good cushion, short back with a perfect comb. Please send him home to me and the gals. I will pay a reward, as well as the return shipping.

Perhaps your "Paprika" is in disguise and now residing in the Bluff Country of SE Minnesota!

My gorgeous trio from Lynne also arrived yesterday. Although this debonair Rooster has decided that he would like to be called "Rudolph Valentino" ~ "RUDY" for short. I do believe (although, I could certainly be mistaken about this, that Rudy is the son of "Casenova". Perhaps Lynne will set me straight on this.

Of course, Rudy did not travel alone! No, no indeed! He escorted two beautiful females "Blanche Deverone" and "Rose" (I'll have to look up her last name. You may recognize their names from the classic TV sitcom: "The Golden Girls"

They are SO beautiful! Blanche is the lighter of the two girls. She's quite lovely and she knows it! Always following Rudy around and flirting. Rose is a bit more shy but very pretty. In a couple of weeks they'll be joined by "Sophia" and "Dorothy" who will be coming up from Florida.

Life is GOOD in the Bluff Country!

LOTS more photos on my chicken blog...

Thank you, Krys!

I'm really thrilled with them. I'm buying from good breeders and am selecting for good color and type. I can't wait until next Spring and Summer when I'll have lots of speckled little MFCs hopping about my backyard.

For those who've followed my flock's progress:

CANDY HAS STARTED LAYING!!
She's still in with Splash and I've gotten two eggs from her thus far...

;-)

I'm going to get some new photos of her today. She has quite a bit more color starting to fill in.

OMG! These MFCs are just WAY too much fun!!

*Always lots of pictures on my backyardchicken blog*

Nancy, those are gorgeous Millies.

Lynne has awesome birds, doesn't she? I've got some of Casanova's offspring too. We're supposed to have nice weather this weekend, a nice change from the past couple of weeks. I plan on getting pics of all of my Millies. I've also got a couple from Josh that are really looking nice. They're all due for a photo shoot. I've been quite lazy when it comes to pics.
