Heres the new guy from Nellabean He wouldnt co-operate to much so I didnt get a pic of his chest But he has chevrons all over his chest and all the way down his feet He was watching the camera to make sure it wouldnt get him But his type really is good and getting better Heres hoping for some nice babies Thanx again Nella

Thanks for posting pix! He was 1 of 4 roosters that I got from hatchin shipped eggs from Tate. By far the best looking of the bunch

I wondering if, when breeding back in Black Mottleds to improve type, has anyone tried using Red Mottleds instead? And does anyone have any opinions as to whether that would help or hinder the MF progression?

Gail, I don't see where red mottleds would help too much more than blacks only because the blacks have so much better type than and reds I've seen. I know Patty has had excellent luck with that cross. I did not. All those babies I posted the video of a few months ago... not one with decent mf color. The father was a mottledxmille and the mothers were excellent marked girls from Lynne. I think Chickenlady hatched out one that looked decent from eggs I shipped so, maybe I should've hatched a bunch more.

just moved and things are MIA ... anyway, when I find it, I'll upload the newest batch from a cross I did with Tom's project birds and Lynne's. They are very fat

I also have some growing out that are just from Tom's birds. They have a lot of white on them but are gaining more color all the time.

I have a ton more room here.. 25 acres!!!

so, Msbearland is expanding exponentially. Some of the barns are a little delapidated but, I think with a little work, this place will be awesome for all the birds and kids and maybe a couple horses.

My old place was a third of an acre ... things were tight... hence, all the teeny weeny cutesy coops
