You should be aware that some milo or grain sorghum is bird resistance. This means that it's acid content is so high that birds refuse to eat it. I guess this works well for the feed grain farmer who is worried about combining his crop before the black birds eat it all but remember that not all feed grains are intended to be fed to chickens. I found this out the hard way many years ago when my family planted some cheap NEW grain sorghum seed and when we carried the resulting crop to the elevator they refused it.
