Mini Geese

I got a pair of minis from Holderands about one year ago. Hen laid 5 eggs last spring starting in Feb. None were fertile. Just got my first egg from them today. Keeping my fingers crossed. Hoping the 2nd year is a charm.

I've been looking for mini goose hatching eggs this season! So hard to find and I don't think anyone is willing to sell eggs. There's so few yet. But if you know anyone, let me know

. I want to raise them from babies. But may just end up ordering an adult pair from holderread. I would love to see more pics of them if anyone could post em.

I wont have any this year but currently have some eggs in incubator. Goose laid 7 eggs and quit. I have candled and 4 eggs are developing. Fingers crossed. Maybe have some next year.

Just hatched my first two mini geese in incubator. These are auto-sexed so it looks like two females. Oddly eggs and gosling are about same size as regular geese. No, I did not mix up eggs or allow cross breeding. Just saying........ I will try to posy pictures later.

mine are mini pilgrims developed by Holderrands{ Male is all white and female is gray belted.

Jerry. got a pair last year also from Holderreads. She laid 7 eggs last year, not fertile. This year 7 eggs, 4 fertile and 3 bad. A very good mother and setter. I can pick her up off the nest without having a problem. Hope to post some pictures later. Tom

You know...I have never seen one, though I know what Pilgrims look like. How small are they?
