Minnesota!

I'm actually not feeling very well! And I am about to say something that may jeopardize my redneckness! I think wolves are cool, I my issue is not with wolves, but rather with our DNR's flawed manner of managing our wildlife.

I would really like to hear your thoughts on that matter. The wolf is my spirit animal.

I go to Chicago tomorrow morning until Monday to see three days of concerts on multiple stages. I have been doing it for 3 years now.

What event is it?

How do you know if it's a double yolker? One of my pullets has been laying light brown, almost pink eggs like the small one in your picture. Cute little things!

You can tell because when you crack it open 2 of those little round yellow things fall out.

Sorry, Sometimes I cannot help myself.

If the egg is larger and longer than normal. it is most likely a double yolk. When your chickens lay more you will be able to tell. It is mainly IMHO a young pullet thing while they figure out how to put one yolk in each egg.

You think your EEis bad for letting them eat her feathers? I have had a couple who peck themselves and and were eating their own bloody tails off!

No way! what is it with EE's?
Yeah, and now I want to know what it was. :)

Me too, Ralphie, not nice to tease like that. I am imagining all kinds of things....
Shania Twain?

The Band Perry?

Alison Krause ?
all good choices, would go see them all! although I think I was at a concert maybe 5 years ago, so I'll probably wait another 5 before going. Unless KD Lang was in town. heck, I would go out of town to hear her. If you haven't heard her cover of leonard cohen's hallejuha, find the you tube of her doing it at the olympics.

I didn't see any northern lights, it was cloudy here by about 4, but I did see a couple of rainbows around supper time while supervising the girls. Really miss being able to just let them out with me standing there. But losing 2 in 2 weeks got me nervous. Lots of eagles around, pretty soon it will be time to hit hawk ridge.

Can anyone believe it was so hot and humid just a few days ago, and now it is soup weather?

Ha hah! I was like...."oh man, I should have known that.".
