Minnesota!

Don't you hate when that happens.

I had one of them the other night. One of my boats sits on runners/skids/bunks on the trailer. I have 4 trucks of rollers from an old trailer I have been wanting to put on that boats trailer. All summer I have been looking for the right type of bracket to mount them on the trailer. This trailer is much lighter than the trailer I took them off from. The old trailer had 4x4 mounting plates. I only need 2 inch plates on this trailer. I could not find a 2 inch bracket to fit the big rollers.

After 3 months of trying to find it, it dawned on me.... like a flash.... DUH\

Just drill holes in the 4 inch plate, 2 inches from one of the holes.....

I cannot believe it took ,e that long to think of something that easy and cheap!

When I was at the state fair the DNR lady volunteer said that eagles rarely go after chickens, they go more for already dead animals or fish as they are lazy. do you think this is true? has anyone seen an eagle actually go after a chicken and kill it? Hawks I know definitely go after chickens. she said owls will too, she said they would even in broad daylight if they have baby owls to feed.

At the National Eagle Center in Winona they told us that Eagles are opportunistic feeders. If chickens are the easiest prey then chicken is on the menu for dinner.

Not sure which chicken dropped out this olive egg tonight! Isn't it chicken bedtime? I may have to roll out a cooler and a lawn chair to ye ol' coop Saturday and figure out who is laying what. No dye/vent method for this girl....just beer and chicken entertainment....and more beer.

Yes. I came home to see an eagle take off with a chicken last summer. 3/4 grown chicken. There was another eagle circling. I do nt believe the DNR on many things.

They are always making low passes over my birds. Last year was worse for them than this year. But I have lost about 12-15 birds to unknown something. I will not rule eagles out, but will not blame them either for this years losses.

That list stinks!

It is wrong!

BTW My mailing address is Zimmerman, even though I live in Orrock twp... Does that count? I went to school in Zimmerman, well until 6th grade. We never had more than that here when I was a kid. They shipped us off to Elk River for high school

My brother owned the bait shop in Zimmerman! I should get extra redneck points for that. I want it to be #1 not 4!

@duluthralphie was it marv's minnows? or the tales and trails?

I lived in Zimmerman approx. 4 or 5 years... well, between zimmerman and princeton, then moved to Nowthen. Didn't want my kid going to Zimmerman or Princeton schools (No offense)
