Minnesota!

You might find some usable treasures in there, but it will definitely be work. Our place is a bit like that too. Every shed was full of crap. They took most of it and now I'm stuck with pulling out the junk

I can identify with that!

Having bought this place from my Brothers, and having had family living here for better that 100 years I have junk everywhere. It seems I am suppose to get rid of the junk, but the good stuff is theirs or should be divided equally. I failed to see anyone offer to divide the last roll off dumpster charges.

My coworker just brought me 6 zucchini that are about 24" long and 8" in diameter to feed my chickens. Holy moly they are big!

I wonder if zucchini seeds have the same potential anti worm effects in chickens as a pumpkin??

They should Klop Klop. They are part of that squash/melon family. I'm not sure if some are better than others.

I will tell you though...this time of year...mine are spoiled. They snub their noses at squash and zucchini and such. They are loaded to the brim on their favorite greens and veggies. All they want is bugs and meat. And my tomatoes...finicky brats.

350 posts since I have been on here last. Way to much for me to catch up on. Just gotta settle with a couple of pages. Busy time of the year. Between work, getting ready for winter events people are trying to get in before winter and paperwork I have nooooo time.

Chickens are slowly starting to molt. Really slowly. They are losing tail feathers and dumpling is losing feathers on her neck. I switched them to high protein feather feed about a month ago. Gave them tuna once as I saw someone here do and a pound of salmon was starting to turn so I poached it and gave it to them. Could I be overdoing it so I could be slowing the molt? It would be good to know. They are still laying well too. Maybe because of the warmer nights and lights in the city? I don't know...

Anyway. I miss my time here. Figured I should swing by and say hi to all you folks.

they get nothing, and like it!

Let Tootsie in for a cracker and Sadie was there following and watching and behaving. She's really been pretty easy at training with the chickens. Love that and just remembering all my apprehension/nerves a couple months ago.

She's still a nut can though and DH won't be taking her out duck hunting this fall. She's not ready yet.

Nope, that's not how chicken math works...6+2=4 so you need to get three more.

Duck numbers around here are not great either, I am not a big fan of opener weekend but I always go just to get back in the swing of things and get a little wing shooting practice. I dont get to shoot nearly as much in the off season as I used too, so I usually blow a few holes in the sky opener weekend. I'm going out on the St. Croix with one buddy, its going to be pretty warm so I'm hoping the kayakers will be out in force jumping the birds out of the backwaters and over to me.
So you're the one putting holes in the ozone layer, good thing I don't duck hunt or there probably wouldn't be any ozone left at all.

It looks to be all grey, but i havent gotten too close yet so she doesnt abandon it. I have seen her twice now at dusk and she looks like a young girl.

I'm not up on all my fancy color names, but is the blended grey color like that called harlequin? or tortiseshell?
