I was going to say if she was brahma it seems a little normal. Two of mine had this problem when young but seemed to get better. Good luck with her!

I have a question Ralphie. R the toads your hatching Berts or Oles. I'm starting to think my CX hen is sterile. None of her eggs have developed and shes been in with 2 roos!

This is my hen. Almost identical just have a bigger beard and muff.

This is the roo she is in and I have hatched her eggs.

If u want I could get u some hatching eggs or chicks.

Will they be availiable for a while? I would really like to wait until I get a broody. I am not set up with a incubator. Would it be dangerous to put a baby chick or two in with 5wk olds?

You would be fine right now. I have chicks that r 2 months old 1½ months old 4 weeks old and 3 weeks old that forage and sleep together. I will show you some pics in a bit I have chicks from 3 EEs. But I can tell who is who.

Or you could wait a month see if u have a broody because then she will have been in with a Blue Splash Cochin roo and there would be beautiful birds from that cross I would think.

Any ideas for me? One of my turkey poults has been acting odd for the last two days. He is shaking his head a lot and gagging frequently. Could he have eaten something bad for him or is this some kind of sign of disease? I let the turkeys out to free range every day so anything is possible. He doesn't appear to be ill otherwise.
