Minnesota!

KlopKlop, I am too lazy to go back and find your kitten thread to quote it.

Sorry, to hear about the mommy. Do they have milk replacer for cats? When Pearl was Born, Reagan had 11 pups. She could not make enough milk for all 11 after a week or so. We ended up buying goats milk for them. The vet we had said it was as close as we could find and would work better than Cows milk.

Of course, we were just supplementing Reagans milk and not totaling feeding them like you are. We found a syringe worked best when they were young. Of course, I sort of over did it. I weighed them daily and if they did not gain weight I gave them the goats milk. I kept charts of each day's weight. I had a folder for each pup, and it had it's baby picture in it and a picture once a week.

When I sold them along with the registration papers, I gave each new owner the folder with baby pictures, a picture of Reagan and the pup. A picture of all the brothers and sisters and a picture of Reagan and the Daddy dog on there date.

I guess at this age they have to be stimulated to go. The mommy cat could lick the kittens bum I guess. We read that a warm damp cotton ball is a good alternative.

Stimulating kitty bums isn't on the top of my fun list but I am their pseudo mommy so I will

I had this picture in my mind of you licking the kittens bum....

It was way better than when I got to the q-tip thingy.

Kittens are fed and we are off to the farmers market to sell eggs. When we get home we need to work on helping them go potty. We tried but no luck so far.

Some sort of soft cloth moistened with warm water. Don't know how often, maybe after each feeding.
