Minnesota!

hmmm.  i'm wondering about dunn brothers politics...guess I will have to google that since we can't talk about it.

and this comment is just straight news:  yesterday the state contracts were reviewed by the legislative committee.  You know, the contracts that pay the aids in the state nursing homes, and group homes, and the highway workers, and the people issuing your drivers license, and the fort snelling guides, and the people testing well water, and the people that check out day cares to make sure they are safe for kids, .....so no surprise, the vote was along party lines with one party refusing to support any pay increase.  Happens to be the same party that forced a 10% pay cut in the form of a state shutdown.   this is just straight facts. no political commentary at all, you can supply that yourself (silently).

Dunn Bros has no politics. The original coffee shop opened in Saint Paul on Grand Ave. They've sold franchises, but none come close to the first shop.
I have a connection to that place. The owner married my ex-boyfriend's ex-wife.

Yuk. I'd buy the can for the can. Dump
Out the coffee and use it for nails.

amen to dumping it out.  It makes a great car deodorizer!  just throw it under the seats.

My partner Sue likes folgers too, and she can't stand my coffee.  I am a true coffee snob - never drank coffee until I was overseas in my 30's, and finally had some that I didn't want to spit out. Favorite is espresso grind "mind body soul" by a local roaster.

Do you guys prefer super bitter or acidic coffee? I like this stuff because it is mellow and rich

ummm, not to be rude, but....is "mellow and rich" another word for dishwater? I mean, can you taste the difference between plain hot water and your coffee?

No, I don't like bitter or acidic coffee, but I like strong, flavorful, rich coffee. But to be fair, the majority of my friends don't drink my coffee unless it is heavily creamed. So they probably like folgers too.

Scandia, I take the hawks south and so they continue on their migration and don't return.
ejb, some years back, a byc'er ran afoul of the local wildlife authorities based on a byc post regarding raptors. just saying, I figure you must need a permit to trap hawks. I could be wrong.

In my neck of the woods, there are hawks year round, but fall is a migratory peak.

How far away do you remove them? I'd think they'd return to their mate and territory.

I have heard introducing them to a completely new environment helps. Raptors are a creature of the skies. I find introducing them to the world of fishes will keep them from coming back,,,,,,

(Dear DNR that was a joke, if you do not think so my real name is Mathew Sobitiski, I live in Worthington,)

That is an interesting little tidbit, I did not know they were a local company. I like that!
