The first step is crucial - but all I see here is denial ;-)

You gotta love insurance companies, they will wiggle and worm out of everything they owe! False representations made by their agents make no difference.
Why would you say that? I do not know anyone that would ever think your a chicken addict.....![]()
I work for an insurance company. If our claim reps were paying out for a new bumper for every Jane, dick, and Sally my annual bonus would be impacted. And I am counting on that bonus to fund more chickening!!
Hmmm,,, that's a conundrum. However, if the company does not pay for what I paid them to insure me against, then I have to pay and I have less money for my chickens.......Hmmmm

Wait...
I thought it was Tom, Dick and Harry???
I get that, Klop, but they took a ton of pictures and the guy was looking all over at that thing. It is so obvious what the new damage is and they still tried pulling this crap. That is what torques me. I am all for being fair. If I had a fender bender on the corner panel that was 3 years old, I wouldn't try scamming to get that in on this claim, I just want the damage she caused to be fixed. I can't open the back gate because it is pushed in and bent to he!!, it won't register as closed because it is pushed so far in that it reads the door as being open so all the lights stay on inside unless we disconnect the battery. The latch on the frame that where the bumper is attached is bent down also so i don't even think it would latch if the gate wasn't pushed in. So, either I don't drive it, or when I do, I have to disconnect the battery every time I shut it off, and reconnect when I want to drive. After 3 weeks, this has really got me tired of the piddling around. It took the adjuster over 2 weeks just to get out here too, which didn't please me.
Plus, we both had the same insurance company, and we have been with this one for over 20 years with all of our policies. I have more than paid for this damage in my premiums, so when they pull stuff like this, I can't help but to get really miffed (using a PC word here).
Well, instead of me getting all worked up about this, I should go out and get my work done. Almost done with coffee, so time to move it.
You all have a nice day. Hold onto your hats and remember, we could have 4" of snow coming in today, but at least the temps are nice and we aren't shoveling the white stuff. Of course, now that we have the snow blower on the little tractor and are all ready for it, we probably won't get much of it. Time will tell.
have a good one, all!!!
