Minnesota!

I just looked at the forecast... we're supposed to get a bunch of rain starting tonight and then 3 to 6 inches of snow!? Sloppy sloppy sloppy

klopklop and Minnie, so sorry about your birds.

Minnie, when you plant tulips in a big pot, do you leave the pot outside all winter long?  bury it in hay?   I did get my bulbs in Sat but barely.  Have to go to FF today, and you know they will probably have bulbs on clearance.  Mine often get eaten by the deer but I like seeing them the few days that they survive.

waiting for daylight....want to let the flock out to eat fresh green grass and clover and all, for a bit before I head down to the cities to spend time with baby.  My daughter asked if I could come hold baby so she could try to sleep.  I figure it is the last time the flock will have greens before a hard freeze.  I can't believe I still have stuff growing!

Which FF do yoiu go too? We need to go this weekend also. The one Osseo is closer, but I lie the one it ST Cloud more. I like Runnings and it is way closer, but it is more expensive than FF..

Isn't being a Grandparent great? If I had known how much I enjoy grandkids, I would have skipped having kids and went straight to the grandkids... This is my last day of Grandpa Daycare this week, I do not have to return until Monday evening. I hope the grandkids can survive that long without me checking up on them.

I'll go to the FF in blaine, off 35w because I'll pass it on the way to my daughters.

Yeah, I am really excited about the grandbaby. So grateful to have been there for the birth. She's a week old today!
Can't wait til she's older and I can bring her home for the weekend - maybe when she's around 2? hard to remember that long ago with my daughter.

I still havent made it to a runnings but I want to. maybe this winter it will make a good road trip.

Am debating about totally locking the flock in the hawk proof run. I know I have to do it, just hate to. And I still don't have those 6 hens from the family that doesn't want to overwinter them. It will be easier for them to integrate if there is more room in the run....debating about emailing him and letting him know they should come get settled in before the snow flies.

and getting the quail settled for winter is harder than I thought. the watering - they are so danged small, think not even a softball - I tried a small dog bowl heated, but it is pretty tall for them to drink out of so had to make a little platform for them.

its daylight, time to hit the chores.

Ralphie have fun being grandpa today.

have a great day everyone!

There is a FF in Blaine? Where? 35w does not go through Blaine. I have 10,000 hours driving I35 from Minneapolis to Forest Lake so I am pretty sure of that. It was a long 5 years. Where is the store which Intersection? Judy will be so excited when I tell her I am taking her to a new store I just found out about. She loves shopping. However she is never as excited about goingto FF as she should be. Maybe a new store will up her level of excitement.

What are your intentions with the quail?
They woud be cool to have, but, I do not want a hard bird to take care of. And Judy might smoother me in my sleep if I get some.

Oh, I never gave my condolences on the lost hens either... So here it is Condolences...

And Kloppers a HUGE condolence on not being able to get another shotgun. Wives can be so unreasonable when it comes to new guns. I find it is better to buy it, and sneak it into the gun case, Once it is there they assume it has always been there. To wives all guns look alike. And if she by chance should ask how long have you had that gun? Or Is that a new gun...

Your reply has to be vague and a stock answer..

"Oh, I don't know. Let me think. I have had it a long time, not sure when I got it".
