I don't know if I have shown y'all this little crafty set of ornaments I made a few years ago. But if you find you have too many eggs, this is a good one to try for any kind of decorating:

You make a little hole at each end and blow out the insides, rinse, dry and decorate with just about any kind of crafty things. We did it for a 4-H meeting project one time.

Good morning all! I came out to head for church this morning and a group of my hens were standing out in the yard balanced on one foot. How funny! We have dubbed this 'flamingo-ing'

I've seen the do it before but this was a large group and every single one of them was doing it haha

Cute, you probably know this, but they are pulling one foot up at a time to try and warm it up

I had figured that was the case as they never did it until the ground froze

Frost on window in coop this morning....the goats share the coop with the chickens. I have a heated water bucket in there. I'm sure goat pee adds a lot of moisture. Should I not put the water bucket in there? I lock everyone up at about 5 pm and open up the coop at 8 am so the goats and chickens would be without water for 15 hours. Seems like too long a time.

I would pull the water. Its dark out, so chickens aren't drinking during the night and I bet the goats arent either.

You have a bigger coop, its a barn, isn't it? Maybe just see if you can leave something open for some more ventilation.

What a great project. How did you attach the ribbons?

I use jewelry findings with a loop to thread ribbon through for hanging. I use complimentary findings on the bottom too. I attach with super glue. I always cover everything with modpodge except the metal findings.

You have a bigger coop, its a barn, isn't it?   Maybe just see if you can leave something open for some more ventilation.   

It's part of an old garage that we use as a barn. It's large. We installed a window that I can crack open....it is a window that opens in a 3 sided porch so i doubt wind can blow in. I'll open that.
