I've hatched out two batches of silkies now. Not super experienced, but hey. Hank has got a nice vault going on. It seems to be preferred because it gives them such high reaching top knots. It can cause difficulties and leaves them more prone to brain injury troubles.
They are super cute. Who did you get the chicks from? I love the buffs. Best wishes to you and your chicks.

Silkie breeders crossed in polish with their birds long ago to create a top crest like Hanks. That's considered a vaulted skull, right??

Congrats on your super chicks! I thought I was doing bad when my humidity spiked to 98% on day 19!!! I have 7 hatched out so far though. Your eggs sure endured a lot and to still hatch out, just amazing!
