Miracle- Hello! guinea/chicken crossbreed

It is a fairly new breed. She was given to me - probably because she is not exactly what the breeder was working toward. I had never heard of them but looked them up. The pictures on the internet look much prettier. Esmerelda has her own special beauty. I think she could scare a mouse to death.

There are some Lynx and Bobcat in the family tree. She is sweet though.

I'm sorry, I should have said she is a very unusual looking cat. Think my brain filter burned out. Esmeralda is one of the flock now but, I will keep an eye on her until Miracle thinks she passes muster.

It's good to have a job! Keeping Mena company is a fine occupation, Miracle. I'm sure you're the best at it.

Mena, I think Esmerelda is beautiful. She has such intense eyes, and what funny ears! What can I say, I'm a sucker for the unusual ones.

Best of luck with the book! I will be first in line to order a copy when it's finished. I'm so glad Miracle's story will be shared with the world.

Miracle,
I'm glad to hear you are still taking care of Mena and helping out around the farm. I have sure missed your tales.

Saw the cat reference in a later post. I'm sorry you lost Miracle. This was a great story.

Your cat is a "Curl" which refers to the ears. I've had tortoiseshell cats several times, and one thing you can say about them is that they have unique personalities. My vet asked me if Missy (the most recent) had that "tortoiseshell personality." My daughter (in her teens at that time, referred to her affectionately as "Missy the bit*&" and it fit. She could be the sweetest cat on the planet and then turn cold and aloof. I still miss her, and she's been gone for 15 years.

I hope the cat works out, I've always had a soft spot for torties.

Ok, I have never heard of a tortoiseshell cat. What is the difference between a tortoiseshell and a calico? From what I understand, a calico is always female. Right??? What about a tortoiseshell? Are they always female or what? (I thought Esmerelda was a girl because of her color. Otherwise I can't tell yet.)
