That is true, becareful, if you live in guadalajara, Im sure theres a bunch of rural areas where you can get Hens.
Oh y por sierto Bienvenido!!!!!

pues gracias a todos!!! me siento pena...pero!! ya me recuerdo lo q nos dijo...

He also told us that these were in fact laying hens and the other fluffy light colored chicks w/spray colored hair would get fat...eating chickens. He also had a few beautiful roosters and did tell us they were roosters. When I pointed to another type of chicken, he assured me that they were pheasants. My husband says that I always want to jump to conclusion that we've been had...he said the seller couldn't say yet what sex the birds are until they get older and couldn't guarantee that there wasn't a male in the bunch.

How long do we have to wait before finding out what they are?

Jalisco you have the same breed my husband MADE us get, Turkens. He says that in Mexico they are all like that.

I am partial to the CX for meat (freezer camped at 20 weeks) and Orpingtons and Ameraucanas for eggs (laying like champs at 24 weeks).

The naked neck ones (buche pelon), at 25 weeks still are not laying and too skinny to eat. My point exactly!
