Had to give away my beautiful french copper marans rooster. It's heartbreaking. Funny how much I'm attached and miss the little thing! Thank you to all the people who helped me determined if Midnight was a rooster. At least it wasn't such a big surprise to wake up at the sound of a crow!

Sorry for your loss. Glad you were able to find him a home.I see so many free rooster posts all over the web,and think I will never find a home(for my new one) oher than a stew pot!

It was fun to hear those first crows.I had a peep that crowed at 8 weeks.Ofcourse I had to run right out to the garage and film him.Sadly he died at 14 weeks.Atleast we can have our hens!
