Missing duckling

I had 5 ducklings hatch 2 days ago. When I went to lock everyone up last night one duckling was missing. I had the mom and babies inside the coop and the run was also closed, so no free ranging because I also have baby chicks at the moment. She had not taken them outside yet because there were still some eggs not hatched. I have searched the whole run and the inside of the coop twice now and can't find the baby anywhere. Any ideas on what could have happened to it? Has anyone else ever had this happen?

Did you check real good under the bedding? I lost a Runner duckling once and finally found it buried under the bedding where mama and ducklings were.

Yes I moved all the bedding around cause that was my first thought also

I can't imagine or believe mama would eat it. I'm sorry this happened.
