Nah, my mom is home until the 1st. We good.

One problem, though, is that nobody is home on the 18th. If they start developing I'm going to have to convince someone to come by at least once to turn the eggs(s)

If you can trust someone to do it then find someone.
If not...don't sweat it.
One day of not turning isn't going to make or break the deal.
 
Was doing some research :caf and it appears that I won't have any good chance at seeing anything in turkey eggs until day 10, usually 14.

This is gonna be a while before I have any real idea about whether the clear egg is developing.

correct.. and you need a strong candler... I just see an air cell
Just had a chicken hatch 4/4 all doing good
and had 4 in the bator.. 3 hatched but 2 died... one pipped the wrong end and the other was doing good and was dead this morning.
