I'm interested also but haven't found anything yet, I will check the links above. There is also another person who was asking about KC ordinances a week or so ago but haven't seen her since. My neighbors, family and friends think I'm a bit nuts also. That's OK with me, I'm having a blast. I don't know anyone else who has chickens in the metro

I saw a coop and run in someones yard also up north on my way to an estate sale last weekend but other than that I don't know anyone either.

Surely there are several people....the KC ordinance is pretty accommodating.

Independence's are also 6 chicks, no roosters and coop and run have to be just 50 feet from neighbor's dwellings. I've heard there is someone with a rooster not far but none of the neighbors have complained. I'm making sure mine complies as my elderly next door neighbor's health isn't good so when the house is eventually sold there will be no issues. I looked at the facebook poultry association site briefly, only found announcements of shows etc. Will look further later as need to get busy on my coop and run site before any possible rain this afternoon.
