My poor broodies have some mites on them and I have lost the dosage of how much of the pour on cattle ivemectin I am supposed to put on per chicken--I have LF and bantams. Anyone have the dosage handy? I would like to do this tonite while they are roosting.

Thanks,

Renee

Thanks a ton!! Was NOT fun to pick up my chicken and have bugs running all over ME!! I think its lice but I get them mixed up all I know is we are having a midnite pour down tonite~

I just went thru the same thing myself, however, I could not find any bugs on the chickens, but I brought in a heat lamp that was hanging in the coop, and it had lice on it!!!!
I dusted them all, and sprayed the walls. I just don't get it.

But yes, you're right, it's NOT fun to have them on yourself. Yuck!

one half of a cc for standard chickens, one forth of a cc for bantams. Note cc=ml

ETA: I will tell you how I do it. I use a syringe with a needle (like when you get a shot from the Dr). You are not gonna stick the needle in the chicken .... NO. I use it because it is easier. I put 5 drops on a standard chicken (on the neck), and 3 drops on a bantam. It is just easier to see the drops this way for me.

Sorry.

Seems like that would be difficult to do, what if you push too hard it wouldn't take much for it to all come out at once, is there a trick to doing this? Thanks again!
