Mites!!! Plz Help!!!

after i got back in from the coop my arms were coverd in mites, what can i do to get rid of them? do they harm chickens?

Either give them a good dusting in a pillowcase or plastic trash bag containing Sevin dust or dip them into a five-gallon bucket of water and liquid Sevin. Do it again in ten days to destroy the newly hatched mites from eggs that stayed on during the first treatment.

ETA Yes, they can and do harm the chickens; they suck out their blood.

Make sure you dust their house, roosts and nests...redust everything in 10 days.
