So I’ve already gone full blown chicken math this year and hatched out a dozen chicks since the end of January. Thought it would be fun to let others take a swing at combo and gender, with some being much more obvious than others in either category.

All chicks are at least half Japanese, out of my black tailed buff or white boys. I have a multitude of other bantam gals though. Feel free to ask for hints. ;) There are six possible breeds.

Here’s a few to start, older chicks are almost 10 weeks, little ones are a month old.

D looks like a Wyandotte, and G looks like an Easter egger, and so does F. Sorry if I’m wrong, I only just started studying the breeds! Hope this helps!

No Wyandottes here, but I did have a blue wheaten EE contribute eggs to this hatch, that’ll be clue #1.
Nice guesses though, points for trying. ;)

Almost 100% correct! I have no Seramas, yet, and I too am debating on the black chick as I have a pure black Jap hen and black Sumatra too. It’s one of the only chicks I’ve been questioning it’s parentage since day one.
