Mixed breed dogs.

I like purebred for some things and mixed for others. If I want a dog for a particular trait (like s guard dog) I like my German Shepherds because they not only look the part, they have that instinct. Obviously I like purebred pugs because I like the way pugs look. But I have a mixed breed now and one of my favorite dogs was a mix. He was part Shepherd and part Akita and totally unpredictable. Overly protective. Like a bad boyfriend lol. The dippy doo-dah I have now is too loyal to me particularly (like won’t listen to other family members sometimes) and also too anxious. She’s a border collie poodle thing. I like the health and longevity of mutts. And I realize any animal can be a butthole regardless of breeding but if I had a specific job for a dog I would prefer a dog with that job in mind with breeding. Like if I want a dark brown chicken egg I don’t go looking for an Easter Egger.

Yesssssssss!!!!!!! I LOVE mutts!!!!!! LOL almost all the dogs I know atm at least IRL are mutts and/or rescues!!!!!!!!!! LOL 6 rescue mutts including Brewster, 4 purebreds (1 of which was sort of a rescue) so yeah.

Every one of my dogs is purebred.
I work with a ton of mixes and one of my favourites there is a mix
I used to conformation show and breed and will likely again in the future so chances are I'll stick with the purebreeds.
A good dog is a good dog, regardless of breeding or pedigree

I have only ever had purebreds. But I have also met some totally adorable mutts.
So whatever is appropriate to the person and dog at the time.

I don't dislike mixed breed dogs; I dislike breeders who sell mixed breeds at purebred prices claiming the offspring will have hybrid vigor and the best traits of both parents. My own father fell for that nonsense and now owns a labradoodle. The dog is fine - again, I have no problems with mixed breeds themselves - but he massively overpaid for a mutt who sheds just as much as any dog because he and the breeders had a basic misunderstanding of why poodles are described as non-shedders. Or else labradoodle breeders are simply knowingly swindling their customers, which is something I won't rule out.

I also have my own opinion on breeders of pet-quality pure breeds who charge as much as breeders who are mindful of the traits and characteristics they're breeding into their dogs, but I won't go into that particular rant right now except to say I'd sooner pay top dollar for a mixed breed that was carefully and selectively bred for by someone who understands genetics and purposeful breeding than pay the prices people are asking for their pure bred, pet-quality puppies.

My 3 current dogs are all mutts and shelter dogs. I like purebreds but I like mutts just fine too.

I like both. Personally I plan to go mostly purebred with my own animals, but that's just because I have particular wants, not because I don't like mutts.

Depends. What I don't like is accidentally or purposely mixed breeds that the owners try to market as something special and unique with a fancy shmancy name. A schnauzer that jumped the fence and bred your Collie does not produce rare Schnollies. Stop it.
