I can't really say I like all chickens.
Most of what I have are mutts, that came from a hatchery. Dixie rainbows, BSL, RSL, EE, Dixie rainbow, and CX.
I guess if I had to say I had a favorite, right now it would be BERT, the CX rooster. The CX's are just such unique birds and so shy and loving.

from what I understand a California white is a cross between a California grey rooster and a white leghorn hen. I have. California white rooster and several hens. When you breed a California white with a California white you don't get more California whites, you get...something else? Is that correct? I hatched 17 eggs. 7 were yellow, 9 were black and one was grey. All the pics of California white chicks seem to be yellow. So I'm wondering what to expect. The whole breeding thing is quite confusing to me so I'm just hoping for a little clarification. Thanks!
