Mixed breeds

This is Spike, my mixed roo. I believe him to be part Cream Brabanter, but the rest is a guess. His entire chest is covered in hearts. We joke and say we should have named him Barry White,"Hey Baby, I've Got Nothin' But Love For You".

Behind him is Papa, my Silver Ameraucana.

Thank-You. We're pretty fond of him, and the best part about him is he doesn't tear up our hens feathers because he's their size. His size is in between Large Fowl and bantam. He is very sweet too, doesn't want to be carried around, but will let you, and never side steps me. Wish I could say that for all of my roo's.

My avatar is a barnyard mix roo, about 8 years old. I agree with most posts on here, a barnyard mix is as good or better than some purebreds. I do have purebreds segregated, but our egg flock is almost all barnyard mix. And they lay great eggs.

Me too and I agree my barnyard mixes kept/keep me in eggs when all the other "high falutin'/ high powered" ones are taking a break/resting they're tired.

I adopted these two as silkie / polish, what do you think they are?
Love em, but they aren't as nice as I'd like...but I didn't raise them, they were kept hidden in a garage till the crowing got the original owner in trouble. Now they're mine black one is Darth Vader, colorful one is Luke skywalker...(my son loves star wars!)
