I just set 24 mutt eggs. All kinds of hens with a blue copper and black copper roo. Orpingtons, sussex, GLW, BCM,, RIR, BR, Barnevelder, EE, Olive Egger....so many different eggs. A local man offered his mixed eggs or .50 a piece...so I called and asked him to collect me 20. As I have a Brinsea Eco 20...but he gave me 24 eggs, and it turns out that is how many that my incubator can actually hold. So hooray! I will totally post some pics as soon as they hatch...if any do. I tried incubating 10 of my own eggs, but they were infertile, and one had a blood ring...can it get a blood ring if it is infertile, or was that one fertile and died?

Thank You. I really love him. I'm growing up his boy right now, and hoping he'll somewhat look like him. So far, so good! I REALLY hope he gets the hearts on the chest.

A lot of the eggs are showing veins on day 3....I'm pretty eggcited since the last eggs were all infertile. Guess the mama will be sort of easy with some of them, based on the egg color, but a good many of them are just brown...but I know there are 2 olive eggers, and I want to say 4 EE that will hatch put olive eggers...but beyond that it will surely be a game to play. I can't see inside the green eggs at all and am not having a very good time seeing through the blue, but they are closer to see through than the olive...there's one really dark brown egg that I can see through, but not very well...I saw a lot that are doing really well today though, so that's great!
