Mixed breeds

Has anyone ever crossed a black copper maran roo with a barred rock hen? i have some in the incubator right now and just wondering what the chicks and adults look like.

I just found this thread and I wish I knew about it sooner! I hatched some silkie eggs that were supposed to be pure but her leghorn roo must have joined the silkie hens. The majority of the chicks hatched out yellow with black spots (looked like paint) with yellow beaks and longish yellow legs (4 and 5 toes). I didn't initially want these chicks so I gave them away Now I think I should have kept some ; do you think leghorn x silkie would be able to free range safely and produce a decent amount of eggs? I am picking up more eggs from the same person and I suspect I will have a few more mixes. Does anyone have this mix??

I just hatched some! They are just over a week old now.
I wanted to get some 'egg and meat' birds so I didn't seperate anybody and just gathered the brown eggs, not the marans (I will seprate at a later time for pure on those).

So the hens used were: barred rocks, golden laced wyandottes and blue laced red wyandottes. Roo's were: 2 black copper marans and 1 golden laced wyandotte.

It is fun trying to figure out which is which and was actually pretty easy when you really look at them. The barred rocks all have their white dot and the marans passed on the feathered legs to just about everyone they fathered I believe.
I am really excited to see how the wyandotte/marans mix comes out. So far some of them have the gold coming through in the wing pattern, others all black.

I will try to get some pics of the different mixes I got from this hatch tomorrow.

Does anyone have mixed breed bantam, or polish, silkies or naked neck cross eggs? Also interested in frizzle mixes. Willing to pay for them I'm wanting 2-4 dozen total hopefully from at least two individuals I'll pay shipping. Seller has to be willing to send to Alaska. I have a lot of interesting mixed breeds and projects. Thank You! If you have eggs available please tell me what kind of hens and what kind of roosters covering them you have. I like bearded mixes too. We have some really neat easter egger crosses and salmon faverolle crosses!

I am so excited about the three little chicks I just hatched out! I mixed my Cream Legbar Rooster with my TetraTint Hen and got three beautiful chicks! I'm hoping if they turn out female they will give me some nice green eggs to add to my layer flock. I also set some more of this mix, curious if I get any other colors since I ended up with one white, one barred, and one somewhat chipmunky colored chick. The hen is my avatar picture, she is one of my favorite chickens in my flock.

We just hatched out 18 black and blue copper Marans chicks...they are super cute. I'm curious to see what they will turn into. It was all different breed of hens in with black copper and blue copper Marans roosters...
So far they are all Varying shades of black and gray...
