Where's Janet? I can't find her anywhere...

As much poo as I have looked at in my career I just can't be surprised by people studying the fossilized stuff. 💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩
At least the fossilized stuff doesn't smell anymore.

I feel the need to defend the Poopologists out there. You can learn a lot about a creature from it's poo. It's a whole branch of science.
From Wikipedia:
"In medicine and biology, scatology or coprology is the study of feces"

I for one have discovered that grasses and dinosaurs co-existed. :thumbsup

I worked at home today and at one point I looked out to see all four hens lolling about in their dust baths :) What a sweet moment.
I learned an important lesson about my own position in the pecking order yesterday. I went into their chicken-garden and opened the door to the Chicken Palace and sat in my chair and called 'chick-chick-chick'.
They always come running and flying to join me and enjoy the grass.
Nothing.
'chick-chick-chick'.
Nothing.
In a panic with the full set of posts in both the diseases and the predators forums flashing through my head I leapt up and ran into the Chicken Palace to find all 5 of them dust bathing.
In the fullness of time they came out and joined me outside. Each one came up to me to say hello (even Dotty) and each one shook herself all over me.
Lessons learned:
- Never disturb a lady in her bath
- I am not as important as I think I am (way less important than a good bath)
- The average chicken holds a lot of dust (I mean a lot!) and the more fluffy the more dust.
