I can’t remember if we already had this conversation but when were you in London? Was it a holiday or did you live there for a while?
Neither. Almost all my travels have been for work trips, but I'd always take a few days leave while over there to visit friends and family. My most recent visit would have been 2020 but for the pandemic. My trip before that one was 2017 I think, two weeks visiting Turin and Cologne for work, 5 days visiting Dublin, Worthing and London for family and friends. I was lucky on that trip because I had a weekend 'stuck' in Cologne so my cousin who lives in Berlin came to visit me. We went to the chocolate factory together, the Roman ruins, a street market the locals went to and we had beer and schnitzels to cap it all off! Wunderbar! She's often on the road for work, so I was lucky to catch her with a free weekend.
Thanks, ACM. That's quite beautiful! The leaves look like Melaleuca leaves but I would never have picked it from the flower or bark.
