Mostly yes. Lulu quite likes the elevator ride. They are funny little things - it seems like their biggest fear is separation so they are easier to herd than to pick up as individuals. I can shoo them around quite easily by pushing in their little fluffy butts.

Lulu would be ok with such technology "beam me up plz"

Yes, of course.
I have not previously recorded the surgery, other then a few pictures here and there. I can post those later and i’ll document what i do today.

It's lovely to be able to handle without drama. Lavender could be really difficult & getting swiped across the face by one of her wings was never any fun. She was so big she could usually get @ least one out to beat me with.

Aurora is very good at beating me with her wings. It is a very rare event indeed where I handle her.

Of course. Its definitely a time consuming process, but i am seeing some improvement.
Im going to finish off the surgery in a bit, hopefully can get the plug completely out.

I notice that happens with my heavy bird Isbe. Its like she fears her balance isn’t good, and she might fall. She has been like this even as a chick, though.

I think the big birds feel unsafe, no matter how they're handled. The little ones I can cup in my hands & prevent panic.

Keeping the feet as still as possible seems to help.

Yep. It takes a lot of patience and calmness to hold bigger ones, and even then they aren’t like a typical bird to be held.
