If the people providing the polling station want to raise money, yes they put on a sausage sizzle and maybe other things like a cake stall or jumble sale. We call it a Democracy Sausage.

The tarp doesn’t bother them, in fact Tegan has tried to convince me that it’s “pretty comfortable, actually!” It’s a great poop catcher; just hose off on the grass and hang up to dry!
