Thanks MJ! Lottie’s still not great; she feels a bit heavier and seemed to be getting more interest in food, but she seems to have lost some strength in her legs. It’s still windy here so I’m trying to keep her from being cold, but it’s a real balancing act trying to keep her warm and allowing her to be a chicken.

Did you end up providing a heat source in the dog crate for her?

Choosing to take hold of the positive in that assessment and believe that she is headed around the bend.

I found the old hot-water bottle today and filled it up. I brought her in when the sun had all but disappeared, popped her in a towel and sat her in my lap with the bottle. She slept in my lap for about an hour (and I had to discourage two cats who think they have absolute lap rights!), then put the bottle in a cloth bag in the cage with some straw on top. She absolutely refused to settle on top of it; twice I put her on it and twice she got off and plopped down next to it. I’ve also been giving her legs a bit of physio as she’s become unsteady on them.

Well, it will make her space a little warmer for a while anyway.

I'm sorry it's such an uphill struggle with her :(
