Teleportation no, my brother drove me. I also had an offer to use the neighbour's car. Also, the train is at the end of the street and it's only a few stops between there and the shops. Hmmm I could also have ridden my bike or walked.

I was betting on bicycle as the response. Brother is good. Teleportation is better!

I have been dreaming of teleportation forever. My sister and i could share meal duty, not to mention see each other! I think it has been 4 or 5 years now, my niece and nephew are huge!

The first teleportation of a light particle was years and years ago. I don't check in on that research but I'm sure it's progressing.

And holodecks are already available on an expensive but small scale or in affordable VR.

Me, I want life to be less imbued with technology (except where it really counts, like medicine) and more imbued with people and all their fabulous unpredictability, and with nature

It never even occurred to me to ask the shop to deliver.

I just checked the font of all wisdom and learned that 5 years ago a photon was teleported from an earth bound lab to a satellite. I'm sure much more has occurred since then.

ETA here's a more mundane application of teleportation published 55 days ago.

A moment ago, I stepped outside for some deep breathing and had the pleasure of watching the hens in their funrun. Mary and Peggy were putting away some brunchtime pellets, Ivy was nibbling weeds which have sprouted after the rain, and Janet was sunning herself. All four had an attitude of lazy satisfaction.
