Is there any safe treat you could give her right after the crop feeding so she associates it with something nice ? Maybe some type of small berry ?

I get how hard it must be and I'm not so sure I would be up to it. Syringing meds into a terrified struggling chicken is one of my bad chicken experience.

I'll try to give her a tiny piece of bread afterwards. Sometimes she likes a tiny smidge of bread.

I found tube feeding easier than syringing medicine. Somehow once the tube is placed it is calmer.
Of course I would much rather not have to do either!

Yes, syringing liquid into a chicken is awful. Nyssa and I both hate it, and Lottie used to give this anguished cry that broke my heart.

She weighs 836g now!! 3 grams weight gain.

I got 8mls of liquid food into her and did a much better job of holding her head high.

And there's a lot of green and white splatty poop under where she slept. I consider the green component an improvement.
