Hi everyone. I’m about a month behind and hope to catch up, I hope Lorna and everyone else is doing OK.

We're back from the vet.

Lorna's infection has harmed her liver, but she'll recover if she's crop fed.

Soooo I've had a lesson and I'm fully equipped with powdered food (Wombaroo), syringes, and a strange needle.

Each meal has to have a milk thistle capsule added to it. 4 meals daily until the 27th, then see how she goes.

She's to be weighed daily until she holds or gains weight without being fed. If her weight drops again, we restart the crop feeding.

I’m sure you do a wonderful job with her. I hope to read forward and learn she has recovered.

Ok. The first feeding wasn't easy for her, but now I've learned how to open her beak (gentle pressure on the tip of the upper beak). And I'll wrap her a little tighter next time too. No problem going under her tongue and into her crop.
